This resource is a PowerPoint that I print out and use as a work booklet. It is a Formal Art Elements work booklet, which can be used as an activity as part of learning about Formal Art Elements, as a stand alone project for substitute teaching or as an Initial Assessment task. There are 10 worksheets, which covers the criteria 1.1 to 3.2 and it also includes a photographic evidence sheet and the assessment sheets to help organise the portfolio into sections and state what assessment evidence has been gathered. This is a 1 page resource that includes an Art rubric that can be used as a self assessment by students completing an art course. It is easily adaptable to suit whatever art criteria you need. I used it with my students with Autism who were completing Art NOCN (National Open College Network) courses. It is a good way for students to visually see how they are progressing throughout their Art course and what criteria is still left to achieve.

I use this 2 page resource for students completing Art courses. After researching potential Art and Design careers, students then create a piece of artwork based on that career. Students then complete the worksheet at the end, stating what career they researched, what artwork they created (with photographic examples), if they found the career interesting and what others they would like to explore. I use this resource at the end of the Art course as a CEIAG (Careers, Education, Information Advice & Guidance) session.

This is a resource I use for SEN students who are completing Art sessions. At the beginning of the year, the students state what their Art EHCP goal is and how they will achieve it in sessions. This resource is then used to review progress and achievement half way through the year and again at the end of the year. (See accompanying Art EHCP goal set up sheet.)

This is a 3 page resource where students can self assess their work after completing an art project. It asks students state the art movement, which formal art elements have been used, what went well, what would improve the work, the inspiration behind the art work and to add photographic evidence of the work. There is also an opportunity for tutors to provide feedback and what next steps are needed.
